Banks Crane and Transport can collect, transport and place cabins, shipping containers, site offices and portable buildings using our own fleet of trucks, HIABs and mobile cranes across the lower North Island.

Moving a cabin or portable building is more than simply lifting it off the ground. It needs to be collected, loaded, transported safely and positioned at the new location.
With our own transport and lifting fleet, Banks Crane and Transport can manage the job from pickup through to final placement.
That means fewer contractors to organise and one team coordinating the transport and lifting requirements of the move.
ONE TEAM FROM COLLECTION TO FINAL PLACEMENT.
Depending on the building, access and destination, we can use a combination of transport trucks, HIAB crane trucks and mobile cranes to complete the move.
In many cases we can collect the cabin or container, transport it to the new site and lift it directly into position.
For more difficult placements, a separate mobile crane can be used where additional reach or lifting capacity is required.

Length, width and height help determine the transport and lifting equipment required.
WEIGHT
Building weight affects transport requirements, crane selection and available lifting radius.
ACCESS
Driveways, fences, trees, buildings and overhead services can all influence how the move is completed.
FINAL POSITION
The distance from the truck or crane to the final placement can determine what equipment is needed.

Portable buildings are not always going somewhere with simple truck access. The final position may be behind a house, beyond a fence, across a section or away from the nearest suitable truck position.
Where a HIAB cannot achieve the required reach, we can assess whether one of our mobile cranes is better suited to the placement.
